Outlook for week of 07-25

Here is a couple of charts from Shadow:

It appears Shadow expects an up week.

And a continuation up for the next 3-4 months.

According to my chart - the week will probably be up.  See FIBS table posted on 07-25 daily outlook for possible targets.  There should be a pullback into mid August as the 22TD cycle bottoms and a more severe pullback in mid September as multiple cycles bottom.  Here is my chart:

Updated chart from Shadow:
Shadow - this may sound silly, but what if you shift everything back 1 day.  The Tuesday action (as shown on your chart) is more of what I expected (and basically wgat we got) for today.

  1. Shadow7 - Are you backtesting your analysis? It would be interesting to see results of back test if you are.

  3. Mouth is correct...I see a down day lining up for tomorrow. And after Wednesday I have a downward trend until August 4th. I thought today was going to be more up than this....but tomorrow we should be down again. Sorry for any confusion. I give big ups to Inlet again for his courage to do what he does.

  4. 1 more correction...tomorrow will be down until a mid-day reversal. Inlet can you verify this?

  6. Inlet - I'm moving towards backtesting...I kind of started by backtesting...but I need to go back further. I know I'm missing something or misaligned because of what happened on Thursday and today...which gave me a clue that I'm missing the even 2,4,8,16,32 which helped some.

  7. Shadow - without knowing your approach I have to ask - are you using regression analysis (maybe Fourier series)? If so may I suggest you are re-inventing the wheel. If not then take a look at this "spread sheet" approach at regression analysis.

  9. Inlet - Thanks again for the lessons...always more. I reviewed the http://www.tradingfives.com/fourier_cycle.html information. The only thing right now I see in common is that we are both using Excel Spreadsheets to track the cycles to predict forward patterns. But what is different is the data that I'm entering and that I'm meshing several cycles (and their offspring)to generate a composite cycle (chart). Thanks Again. I'm finding the wheels within wheels and how the mesh together like the gears of a clock.

  10. I broke up all of the cycle - see the legend on the side to show where I have placed them. I'm finding the last 2 days you can see the 1(8hr.),8,16, 32TD real well.

  11. Shadow7 - EXCEL on. Interesting chart. There are lots of software systems for cycle analysis advertised. Don't know how much they cost and/ot if they are any good.

My goal is to keep my analysis as simple as possible and understandable to the average person. No black boxes (software) just reason and common sense.
