Cycles are a tool and should not be used to the exclusion of other tools. There is always the possibility (high probability long term) that the data will be misinterpreted or a relevant fact over looked. So use cycles to check your analysis, not as the only reason to make a decision. Interpretation is the opinion of the author and may be incorrect and should be viewed in that light.

July 16, 2018 weekly outlook.
Probably will see indexes at new highs during the week.
10 week cycle nearing mid cycle high (which should lessen upside momentum). Week just ended at or near highs.
The 9 month cycle for SPX beginning in mid Aug would be mid May...no? Your chart has the 40 week ending in July which would make it 11 months. What am I missing? Thx!
Cycle lengths may vary (40 weeks is 9 months + 1 week). Some technicians refer to the cycle as 9 months, some as 40 weeks. Longer cycles vary the most in length and are not for short term trading. I try to give you short term guidance for trading in my commentary.
