01-03-2012 outlook

How do we start the new year?  The evidence suggest we start the new year by pulling back the first few trading days and set a bottom by around Jan 11.

  1. Well, looks like we will start the new year with a gap up. So much for starting 2012 with something new.

Phil Davis is suspicious of the "good news" out of China and implied that he is going to short the DOW futures.

Keystone feels the markets should trade lower to about mid January--targeting the Bradley turn date. Overall, Keystone feels 2012 will be down 7-13% on the year.

Maybe go short if a big up day today??
