April 18, 2016 weekly outlook

A test of ATH seems likely since the shorter cycles should have bottomed and turned up.

But, always expect the unexpected, so watch for that sell signal:

  1. I enjoy looking at your interesting charts every weekend, and sometimes repost them on my blog. I don't understand some of your acronyms. I'm ok with ATH, but what, pray tell, is a "FLD cross"?

  2. FLD - Future Line of Demarcation (Hurst terminology). Price shifted forward and crosses by candlestick chart indicates signals to buy/sell. Cross and close below line is a sell signal. Touch from above is an "alert" of potential sell signal coming. Cross from below and close above line is a buy signal. Touch from below is an alert of potential buy signal ahead....

  3. Thanks for taking the time to explain. I've been trading for 40 years, but I've never studied Hurst methodology. I'll look into it.

  4. I am sometimes dense. What does ATH mean? Also I would like your recommendation(s) in regard to book(s)or authors or other material I might start with to learn more on cycles. Also what software do you use to produce your cycle charts? Thanks.

  5. ATH - All Time High... Books on cycles? A couple of recent books on cycles by David Knox Barker (Jubilee), Cliff Droke (Kress cycles). But, you should check (search) Amazon. I am sure there books on Hurst cycles still in print.
